CurriculumAt Creative Imaginations we utilize the Creative Curriculum approach to learning. Creative Curriculum is a developmentally appropriate, comprehensive curriculum which teaches children to be creative, confident learners through the use of child initiated and teacher directed activities. Children will have opportunities to engage in hands on activities which encourage exploration, investigation, and discovery which help to build critical thinking skills and foster confidence in early learners.
The creative curriculum objectives for development and learning includes 38 research based objectives for successful learning and promote positive outcomes for preschool children. It focuses on meeting the individual needs of each child through engaging and meaningful activities. Children are encouraged to learn at their own pace and developmental level and are provided with activities that are challenging, but within reach. Each classroom will participate in themed unit lesson plans which include learning opportunities in each of the following areas listed below. Themed units are inspired by the children's interests and are implemented in an age and developmentally appropriate manner. Having input on themed units ensure that your child will engage and develop a love for learning in their earliest years. |
